Calculate how cold it really feels outside based on temperature and wind speed
Wind chill is the perceived decrease in air temperature felt by the body on exposed skin due to the flow of air. It represents how cold it actually feels outside when the wind is factored in with the actual air temperature.
This calculator uses the official formula adopted by the National Weather Service and Environment Canada in 2001, which provides accurate wind chill calculations for temperatures at or below 50°F (10°C) and wind speeds above 3 mph (4.8 km/h).
Wind chill values below -15°F (-26°C) can cause frostbite on exposed skin within 30 minutes. Always dress appropriately and limit exposure time in extreme conditions.
